MBA Entrance Exam – NMAT Exam
NMAT exam is a national-level entrance examination for (to take) admission into MBA courses at NMIMS University and 33 other colleges in India. It is conducted by the Graduate management admission council (GMAC). Around 37 B-schools in India, 7 B-schools in South Africa, and 5 B-schools in the Philippines accept NMAT scores.

- NMAT is a candidate friendly exam, applicants can schedule the time, date, and venue of the exam according to their convenience.
- The exam will be held for 88 days at 58 centers across India and 4 international states
- The candidates can retake the exams for not more than 3 times with this 88-day duration.
- NMAT Exam Pattern is changed in 2020 session, each section will have 36 questions each for a score range of 12-120.
- Sectional time limit will be different: language skills (28 min), quantitative aptitude (52 min) and reasoning (40 min) respectively.

NMAT 2021 Exam Pattern
NMAT is an online exam of 360 marks. It consists of a total of 120 multiple-choice questions divided into 3 sections: Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning. Each objective type question carries 3 marks and there is no negative marking for wrong answers and unattempted questions.
NMAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria to apply for NMAT is laid down by GMAC. The basic criteria is mentioned below but it may vary institute-wise.
- Qualification – The candidate should be a graduate with at least 50% marks or should be in the final year of the graduate program. The part-time or correspondence bachelors are not encouraged.
- Age limit – The candidate should not be more than 25 years of age.
Eligibility Criteria for Overseas candidates:
- The candidate should have a full-time bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks.
- They should have appeared for GMAT and should have a score of 600 or above.
- They should get clearance from the government of their country and a student visa from the Indian Embassy in the candidate’s country.
